The Big Splurge!

Yes, it's time to bite the bullet and pick a new rug for our 5-year-old daughter's bedroom.  If you've been following along,  you've seen all the bold color and patterns I've been adding to her room and it's all clashing big time with the green Persian rug that's on her floor.

But all those colorful fabric choices were chosen with a final design in mind.  From the start, I knew that "bossy" Persian rug was not going to dictate the color or choices I made.  I wanted something neutral on her floor so we could easily change up her decor whenever we wanted to.

Here's what $750 will buy in our neck of the woods in a 10' x 18' bound throw rug:

It's super soft and from their Healthy Alternative line with almost no off gases (something you want to make sure of in a child's bedroom) and promises to be odor and stain resistant.

Time will tell but in the meantime, it's reassuring to know it comes with a 15-year warranty.

I love the textured waffle pattern and that it's made in the USA.  So when it's time to change up her decor, this carpet will go with nearly everything.  Supposed to be here in two weeks so stay tuned, photos to follow!

Take note that often there are promotional codes available online for many household pieces. Always check before you buy.

Good color choice. You're right, picking something a little more neutral will make it easier to change stuff up later.
